Research Interests

Our research interest focuses on deciphering the synthesis and regulation of microbial or plant-derived small-molecule natural products and understanding how plant-microbiome interactions shape plant-associated microbiota and affect plant health. In this regard, major research topics include:

  1. Functional characterization of interactions between plant microbiota (especially actinomycetes) and host plants
  2. Discovery of bioactive natural products from plant-derived actinomycetes
  3. Plant specialized metabolism and regulation using tea plants (Camellia sinensis) as a model organism
