Research Interests
Our research interest focuses on deciphering the synthesis and regulation of microbial or plant-derived small-molecule natural products and understanding how plant-microbiome interactions shape plant-associated microbiota and affect plant health. In this regard, major research topics include:
- Functional characterization of interactions between plant microbiota (especially actinomycetes) and host plants
- Discovery of bioactive natural products from plant-derived actinomycetes
- Plant specialized metabolism and regulation using tea plants (Camellia sinensis) as a model organism
